The Good Samaritans of Pro-Bono
Jack and Harry both do one great deed each, something that really made a difference in someone's life. This deed was not requested of them, but they did it anyway and it genuinely did help someone. Now, Jack never tells anyone of his deed, keeps it to himself and takes his good deed to the grave with him not feeling the need to dispense his actions. Harry on the other hand goes straight to every major publisher in the area.
So the question is - should we submit entries into pro-bono award categories?

Welcome back X, I do have to say that this post made me miss you a little more than I would have liked...
Personally I see little wrong with submitting pro-bono work, you did the work, it helped someone (they are happy) why not get some recognition for it
That is pure narcissism anonymous...

Why is it narcastic of someone to gain credit depak? To adpot a such dogma is to be a unrealistic about what it takes to succeed in this day and world...come on, if you do something good u want credit for it at work dont u?
could u imagine living in a world whhere someone else took credit for everything u did, and knowing human nature ull get nowhere in life accepting that.
We work in an industry which is all about promoting oneself i.e. advertising. Then how can it be wrong to do so. Our business is legitimate isnt it? Or atleast we would like to believe it is.
If its great work and it worked there is no vice in submitting it.
Put differently: 'Dont tell my mother im in advertising she thinks I play the piano in a wh*re house'
Anonymous, is making a phone call a natural step for you after everytime you toss a coin to a needy person?
