Shocking but strangely familiar...
There is another method to get ahead I have been 'educated' on...it's called 'the Costanza technique'.
You walk around the office and sit at your desk looking very angry and stressed. Swear occasionally and slam the phone down a few times.
People will inevitably think you're working really hard - hence not want to give you any more work as you already have plenty on your plate.
You'd be amazed how quickly you get promoted. You might even win a few company awards. ;)
I would like to add the senior intervention wrap up, where your boss who hasn't a clue reiterates everything just presented in an attempt to take some form of undeserving credit.
