Seriously creative industry, i think the ad industry need learn a little more from them...i know i know we have to fit in a product ,do more than just entertain and all in 30 45 or 60 seconds...but still.

the the, ( I love that name by the way) I think in essence the artist is a brand, the objective of a music video is to sell in the end...similarly to most tv advertising being about brand image formation so are music videos. Sure music videos don't need to be a linear in thinking as product tv ads but I think they are more similair than we think

I had intially thought of 'the that' but glad I stuck to the.

Totally agree with ur point of artists being brands in themselves, but I think music videos are an extension of artistry...in the end record label generate income through tv rotation.
