In addition to the 6 or so points that adliterate makes about the positive role that blogging has had on planning, there is a fundamental difference between blogging and good planning. Although blogging is a great way to share opinions and edgy thinking it is no match for the stuff that pays our salaries - sound strategic thinking, foresight, demonstrating a return on investment. It is a great mental stimulant and resource and sometimes even a marketing tool, and it will help shape the future of planning, rather than kill it.
Look forward to more diablog cafe in 2007 hopefully.
